Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

**TITLE** Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Neuro **SCHEDULE** - Weekends: Every other weekend required - On-call: Must remain available if shift is canceled **ASSIGNMENT DETAILS** - Contract Length: Not specified - Guaranteed Hours: Not specified **REQUIREMENTS** - License: RN - Certifications: NIHSS certification, BLS - Experience: 2 years med-surg or neurovascular acute care preferred; 1 year recent neuro patient experience preferred - EMR: Epic - Skills: Proficient neuro assessment and stroke/CVA care; Neuro post-op/care for neurosurgery patients; Peripheral line care; Non-invasive airway management; Participation in Rapid Response/Code teams **ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES** - Conduct comprehensive neuro assessments and care for patients with neurological conditions and strokes. - Provide post-operative care for neurosurgery patients. - Manage peripheral lines and assist with non-invasive airway management. - Participate in rapid response and code teams as necessary. **COMPLIANCE / NOTES** - Requests Time Off: Auto-approve up to 6 days total or 3 consecutive days; additional requires approval and may delay offer. - Holiday Commitment: Must commit to working 3 of these 5 holidays – Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day. - Background checks may be required. - Parking: No fee. - Scrubs: Any color accepted; OR/Cath Lab scrubs provided. - Travelers must have a vehicle for this assignment.
