Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

**Title** RN – Renal Medical-Surgical **Requirements** - RN licensure in the state or a Compact license required at submission - Minimum of 1 year relevant RN experience required - BLS certification required - Experience with telemetry, IV/PICC/central line care, pre/post hemodialysis management, oxygen therapies, wound care, chest tube care, feeding tube and ostomy care, blood product administration, phlebotomy, and medication administration - Experience with the Epic charting system required **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a renal medical-surgical unit - Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing nursing interventions as needed - Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning - Educate patients and families on care plans and health management strategies - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record **Compliance / Notes** - Orientation lasts approximately 12 hours; additional onboarding items must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing - Request Time Off (RTO) is limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract - Travelers are expected to work major holidays as specified by assignment rules - Flu vaccine is required, with possible exemptions for medical or religious reasons
