Registered Nurse (RN) - LTC

**Title** Registered Nurse – Long Term Care **Schedule** Shift options: 4x12 variable OR 3x12 variable; Days OR Nights **Assignment Details** Contract Length: Traveler's choice — 13 or 26 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks **Requirements** - Valid RN license in the state - Minimum 1 year RN experience - LTC experience required - Previous travel experience required - Required certifications: BLS - Alaska Food Worker Certification (obtained on-site during orientation) **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide nursing care to adults and geriatric patients in a long-term care setting, including those with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and other cognitive and physical impairments. - Administer medications and manage enteral feedings as well as IV hydration and phlebotomy as needed. - Conduct routine assessments and monitor patients’ vital signs and overall health status. - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. - Perform wound care and other necessary clinical procedures. - Ensure the safety and comfort of patients through proper use of handling equipment and techniques. **Compliance / Notes** - Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays. - Pre-approved time off: up to 1 week for 13-week contract; up to 2 weeks for 26-week contract. - RTO must be submitted with candidate submittal. - Traveler may be called off for up to 1 shift every two weeks. - Facility provides vehicle option (additional conditions apply). - Housing may be available; confirm if needed.
