Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

**Title** Labor & Delivery Nurse - High-risk Specialty **Schedule** 3x12 shifts (Nights 7a–7:30a), 36 hours/week Weekend requirement: Every other weekend **Assignment Details** Average volume: ~2,100 deliveries/year Daily census: ~8; Beds/rooms: 10 **Requirements** - Minimum of 3 years Labor & Delivery experience preferred (1–2 years considered) - Traveler experience required (unit does not accept first-time travelers) - Previous charge experience required - Circulating for C-sections required - Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN (Intermediate), BLS, NRP - Experience with Epic EMR required - New Hampshire state license required **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide comprehensive care for high-risk labor, antepartum, and postpartum patients. - Circulate for C-sections and assist in the recovery of C-section patients. - Perform electronic fetal monitoring and manage labor using internal/external methods. - Assess and resuscitate newborns, ensuring couplet care during the postpartum period. - Recognize and treat postpartum hemorrhage and manage medication protocols. - Assist with epidurals/general anesthesia and support in forceps/vacuum deliveries. **Compliance / Notes** - Orientation: 24 hours including HealthStream/unit assignments plus on-unit time - Drug screen required within 14 days of start - Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed) - References required; second reference may be accepted pending completion
