Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

**Title** Labor & Delivery RN – Labor & Delivery **Schedule** - 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights) - On-call: Voluntary; RN may be placed on call if not needed for scheduled shift **Assignment Details** - Orientation: 36 hours **Requirements** - Minimum 3 years clinical experience - Active RN license required at submission - Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced - EPIC experience required **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor and delivery units. - Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and assist in the recognition and treatment of abnormal findings. - Circulate during C-section procedures. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. - Support patients and families during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. - Float to Perinatal unit as needed. **Compliance / Notes** - RTO must be submitted with the application; no RTO for the first two weeks of assignment; maximum of 3 days RTO allowed; 1 holiday RTO may be submitted but is not guaranteed; must work most holidays. - Candidates with license restrictions, disciplinary actions, or background findings may be disqualified. - Advanced EKG exam required prior to start (two attempts permitted; 80% minimum). - Required pre-start modules will be tracked; some billable time allowed.
