Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

**Title** Registered Nurse – Maternity / Birthing Care **Schedule** - Shift: 12-hour days, 06:45 – 19:15 - Weekend requirement: every other weekend; minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule **Assignment Details** - Contract length: 13 – 26 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week **Requirements** - Minimum of 2 years nursing experience (3 years preferred) - Experience in high-volume settings with more than 300 births per month - Required certifications: BCLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (C-EFM may be accepted in lieu of AWHONN) - Experience circulating for C-sections preferred - Skills in high-risk antepartum care, intrapartum care, and newborn care - Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (Epic required) **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide comprehensive care for high-risk maternity patients during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. - Conduct triage assessments and manage high-acuity cases in an emergency setting. - Assist in scheduled and unscheduled C-sections, as well as rescue cervical cerclage procedures. - Perform sterile vaginal exams and manage immediate newborn care. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes. - Interpret dysrhythmias and manage pain assessment and relief strategies. **Compliance / Notes** - Orientation: 24 hours - RTO (Request Time Off): Up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays); no RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre-approved. - Pre-start modules must be completed online.
