About the role
**Title:** Travel RN – Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) / Mother-Baby (Couplet Care)
**Schedule:**
- Shift: Nights, 18:45–07:15
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
**Assignment Details:**
- Length: 13 weeks
- Ratios: 1:4 (couplet care)
**Requirements:**
- Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery experience
- Previous travel experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN, NRP
- Preferred: Epic charting experience
**Roles & Responsibilities:**
- Provide care for laboring patients and support mothers during delivery and postpartum recovery.
- Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vitals, using external and internal fetal monitoring as needed.
- Perform sterile vaginal and speculum exams to assess labor progress.
- Offer breastfeeding support and newborn assessments.
- Manage postpartum hemorrhage and respond to standard obstetric emergencies.
**Compliance / Notes:**
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
- Influenza vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Pre-employment testing: Lab/testing required within 48 hours after signing
