Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

**Title** Registered Nurse – Medical ICU **Schedule** Shift pattern: Confirm at time of submittal. **Assignment Details** Contract length: 13 Weeks Guaranteed hours: Yes **Requirements** - Minimum 1.5 years ICU experience required - Prefer 1.5 years MICU experience - Must have experience in a 20+ bed ICU - If less than 2 years ICU experience, Level I ICU experience is required - Missouri or compact state nursing license required - Certifications: ACLS, BCLS (BLS) - Must pass EKG exam for dysrhythmia management - Core clinical skills: ventilator management, vasoactive/pressor titration, ETT care, trach care, chest tube care, feeding tube management, wound care, central/arterial line management, phlebotomy - Required competency: CRRT via NxStage **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide high-quality patient care in a Medical ICU setting - Monitor and assess patient conditions and responses to interventions - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care - Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatments **Compliance / Notes** - Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed) - RTO: No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO allowed the first week of assignment - Local candidate rule: Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility - Compliance deadline: 3pm CST on the Monday before initial start date - Fit testing: No facial hair that prevents proper fit testing
