Registered Nurse – Pediatric ER

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks, guaranteed 36 hours/week. Facility is allowed to call off staff up to 3 times during the assignment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of pediatric experience in an Adult/Pediatric combined ED or a Pediatric ED.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, ENPC.
• COVID vaccination required; exemptions available with appropriate documentation.
• No local candidates within 100 miles.
• Pediatric dosage calculations, triage, phlebotomy, IV start experience required.
• Ability to interpret 12 lead EKGs and cardiac dysrhythmias.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Pediatric ER setting.
• Assess and manage pediatric patients' needs and conditions.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members for patient care delivery.
• Perform triage and prioritize care based on patient needs.
• Manage pediatric emergencies and works effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Compliance / Notes

Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day. No RQI certifications required. Greater than 7 days of requested time off needs approval.
