Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Oncology

Schedule

Shift: 3x12 (18:45 - 07:15). Every other weekend required. Call required.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13-26 weeks. Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations as needed.

Requirements

• BLS certification required.
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration certification preferred; travelers must be willing to obtain this certification prior to or during the assignment.
• 2 years of experience required.
• First time travelers accepted.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty.
• Experience in an inpatient setting required, including skills in Med/Surg, colostomy care, administering chemotherapy, and managing central lines and IVs.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and monitor patients receiving chemotherapy.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies.
• Conduct patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and patients.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment.
