Registered Nurse – MS/Tele Float

Schedule

12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Every other weekend required. Must be able to work holidays.

Assignment Details

36 and 48-hour contracts accepted, with options for longer contracts through 2/27/2027. 7 days of RTO maximum per contract.

Requirements

• BLS and NIHSS certifications required, CPI preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele and ER holding experience
• Travel experience required
• Ability to manage fast-paced unit with a patient ratio of 1:6-1:7 and PCU patients at 1:3-1:4

Responsibilities

• Providing care to patients in an ED holding unit who are awaiting inpatient beds
• Managing MS/Tele cases and floating to other areas such as ED and MedSurg as needed
• Monitoring patients using standard equipment, cardiac monitors, and IV pumps
• Utilizing electronic medical records and documentation systems such as Pyxis and Epic

Compliance / Notes

Must pass EKG testing prior to start. Orientation for 12 hours provided. Contract staff may be assigned to work during emergency situations.
