Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour rotations (07:00 - 19:00). Every other weekend required.

Assignment Details

Position is for a healthcare facility with mixed/shared acuity levels. RNs may be required to float when census warrants.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in Emergency Room nursing.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Competency in phlebotomy and IV placement is mandatory.
• Experience with the Epic electronic medical record system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general emergency department care for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, including blood product administration and central line management.
• Administer continuous IV paralytics and sedation as needed.
• Perform procedural sedation and manage multiple system organ dysfunction/failure.
• Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and emergency medication protocols.
