Requirements

• Current RN license in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer
• One year of acute care experience
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, including triage, treatment, and discharge for Emergency Department patients across all age groups.
• Completes accurate triage assessment and notifies the Emergency MD of any abnormal signs and symptoms.
• Manages medication administration, intravenous therapy, and care of medical equipment in critical care settings.
• Recognizes symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress and provides appropriate nursing interventions.
• Completes timely and legible documentation of all nursing care provided.
• Ensures safe use of any medical equipment used in emergencies.
