Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), required within 6 months of hire or transfer
• One year of acute care experience required

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, including triage, treatment, and discharge care for patients of all ages.
• Complete accurate triage assessments on all patients, notifying the medical team of any abnormalities.
• Review and complete patient orders in a timely manner.
• Provide education on medication side effects and include this in discharge instructions.
• Recognize and respond to symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress.
• Demonstrate competence in routine nursing skills, including medication administration and intravenous therapy.
• Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage care during life-threatening emergencies.
• Participate in Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma Activations.
