Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

**EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT RN – EMERGENCY MEDICINE** **Schedule** - Every other weekend coverage is required. **Assignment Details** - Typical census: ~165–175 patients/day - Unit size: 59-bed Emergency Department **Requirements** - GA license or Compact RN license required at time of submission - Travel RN experience required - Minimum clinical experience: 2 years in Emergency Nursing - Epic experience required - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS - Previous charge experience and trauma center experience preferred **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide high-acuity care in a busy emergency department environment. - Conduct triage and manage patients, including those with STEMI and stroke. - Administer procedural sedation, manage chest tubes and blood products. - Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and provide care for ventilated patients. - Handle behavioral health cases, including psychiatric holds. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, social services, and pharmacy. **Compliance / Notes** - Orientation: 24 hours of non-billable orientation required. - Request Time Off (RTO): Maximum of 7 days allowed per contract; RTO must be finalized upon submission. - Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed). - Major holiday staffing obligations detailed, including expectations for working major holidays.
