Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry
**Schedule**
Nights (3x12)
**Assignment Details**
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
**Requirements**
- 2 years nursing experience
- BCLS (BLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- IL nursing license required at time of submittal (Pending licenses accepted; rules apply)
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Provide continuous cardiac telemetry and rhythm interpretation for adult patients.
- Manage cardiac medications and drips (non-titration).
- Deliver care for post-cardiac catheterization/surgery and post-myocardial infarction patients.
- Monitor external pacemakers and chest tubes.
- Perform IV starts and manage PICC/central lines and heparin protocols.
**Compliance / Notes**
- Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
- Floating within the service line may be required
- RTO: Max 7 days (not permitted during the first week)
- Fit-testing requires compatible facial hair
- Documentation due by 3pm CST on the Monday before initial start date
