Registered Nurse – Surgical Services

Schedule

Shifts and schedule may vary; accommodating block schedule requests may be attempted but not guaranteed.

Assignment Details

Call will be required. Minimum request time off (RTO) is preferred.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in surgical services.
• Experience in diverse specialties including orthopedic, neuro, gynecology, urology, vascular, and thoracic surgeries is preferred.
• Phlebotomy and IV placement competency are mandatory.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to standards of care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative patient education.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team.
