Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule

Day 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15)

Assignment Details

Contract length may vary; average daily census of 36 patients.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience; first-time travelers accepted.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH; EBRR during NEO week.
• Experience with diverse patient populations, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Familiarity with EMR system (Epic), medication dispensing (Pyxis), and communication protocols (SBAR).
• Ability to float within facility/scope of practice as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in an emergency setting.
• Assess and triage patients effectively, prioritizing care based on acuity.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in mental health evaluations and management of acute conditions.
