Assignment Details

On-call required as needed, can be more or less than 3-4 weekday and 1-2 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule depending on unit needs.

Requirements

• Current RN License
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in circulating cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases; 1 year is acceptable if from a Level 1 trauma facility
• Preferred: BSN

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
• Assist with vascular cases, including open and endovascular procedures
• Participate in transplant procedures (liver, kidney, pancreas) and Whipple surgeries
• Maintain knowledge and skills related to surgical nursing in the CVOR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
