Registered Nurse – PCU

Schedule

Rotating shifts: Day (07:00 - 19:30) and Night (19:00 - 07:30) shifts occurring every 4 weeks, working a total of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend is required.

Assignment Details

Contract length is 13 weeks, with a floating requirement within the unit.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; candidates will be reviewed by management.
• Active nursing license and certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• Experience in telemetry and with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips.
• Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with active oncology diagnoses and treatments, including solid tumors and hematology.
• Monitor patients admitted for oncology workups or with a history of cancer, as well as various other reasons including surgical procedures, COPD, and pneumonia.
• Work within a corrections unit, adhering to security policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality and comprehensive care.
