Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Every other weekend required.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours per week.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience required.
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS.
• Pending license accepted.
• Must pass EKG exam and demonstrate skills in Med/Surg, blood product administration, phlebotomy, and IV management.
• Experience with trauma care, surgical drains, and various respiratory support techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for a variety of medical-surgical and trauma diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient condition and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist in the management of surgical drains and chest tubes.
• Implement isolation precautions as necessary.
• Assist with wound care and use of wound vacs.

Compliance / Notes

No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) per 13-week contract. If a shift is missed, work to make it up as soon as possible.
