Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours, from 19:00 to 07:30. First week will have day shift hours from 07:00 to 17:00.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Weekend requirement: every other weekend. No on-call duty required. Floating within service line is expected.

Requirements

• Active nursing license
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Colostomy care, Feeding tube management, Blood product administration, Central and peripheral line management, Phlebotomy, and PICC line management
• Epic experience required
• IV skills required
• Must pass EKG exam related to dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care while working as part of a team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patients and interpret telemetry readings
• Perform skills including starting IVs, managing PCA, and handling blood draws
• Assist with special procedures such as catheterizations and continuous bladder irrigation
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans
