Registered Nurse – ICU

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Weekend and floating are required.

Assignment Details

This is an ICU Float Pool position. The assignment includes a requirement to float to medical/surgical, telemetry, PCU, overflow units, and PACU as needed.

Requirements

• Active California RN License
• 2 years of ICU experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Experience in a healthcare facility with 400 beds or larger
• Experience with PA line and Swan Ganz is required
• Flu vaccine required, no declinations accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions and responses to treatments
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and health management
• Document nursing assessments and interventions accurately

Compliance / Notes

An EKG exam will be administered on the first day of orientation; passing is required to continue with the contract. No scheduling requests can be accommodated within the first two weeks of the assignment. Must work 3 out of 5 holidays.
