Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Schedule

12-hour shifts from 06:45 to 19:15. Weekend and holiday work are required. Call may be necessary as needed.

Assignment Details

36 and 48-hour contracts accepted. Long-term contracts of 13-26 weeks are available. Floating to similar units may be required.

Requirements

• BLS certification required.
• At least 2 years of experience required.
• Charge nurse experience preferred for night shift travelers.
• CPI certification preferred.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for adults and geriatrics with general medical/surgical conditions.
• Administer medication and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor and document patient status and response to interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Perform specific procedures such as heparin drips and wound vac dressing changes.
