Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical - Neuro

Schedule

12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.

Assignment Details

36 or 48-hour contracts accepted. Longer contracts of 13-26 weeks are also available. Weekend requirement includes 12-16 weekend shifts per contract.

Requirements

• BLS required
• ACLS, CPI, & NIHSS preferred
• 2 years of experience required
• Neuro experience preferred
• First time travelers accepted
• Patients will include those undergoing neuro surgical procedures and diagnoses
• Familiarity with Pyxis, SBAR, & EPIC systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a Neuro Unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Utilize appropriate documentation practices and adhere to facility protocols.

Compliance / Notes

Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty. Contract staff may be assigned to a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events or mass casualties. RTO after booking is not allowed.
