Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule

Shift hours: 7 PM - 7 AM, Contract length: 13 weeks, Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, Holiday requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday if needed.

Assignment Details

Call off policy: The facility may cancel up to three shifts during a 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.

Requirements

• Active New York Single State RN license required; pending licenses will not be accepted.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system is required.
• Clinical skills: IV therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator management, emergency care, cardiac monitoring, and stroke management.
• Must be able to float within skillset.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, administering medications and treatments as needed.
• Perform emergency interventions and stabilization for critical patients.
• Conduct triage and manage isolation precautions as required.
• Handle pediatric and adult patient emergencies, including trauma cases.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system.
