Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule

Shift hours: 7a-7p/11a-11p, every other weekend, every other holiday as needed.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks.

Requirements

• Active New York Single State RN License (NY is not Compact).
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Experience in IV therapy, including blood product administration and central line care.
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management.
• Experience in managing stroke and neuro-trauma patients, as well as cardiac monitoring.
• Knowledge in emergency care for adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients within the emergency department.
• Conduct triage and implement isolation precautions as necessary.
• Utilize various medical equipment, including Bair hugger and rapid infuser.
• Maintain and monitor IV access and administer medications as required.
• Assist in emergency procedures and maintain patient safety.

Compliance / Notes

Must submit requests for time off or special scheduling upon submission. The client may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract period without incurring charges.
