Registered Nurse – NICU

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Weekends required, 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period, self-scheduling. Block schedules are in place.

Assignment Details

This position may float between units. On-call is not required. The contract is for an initial duration of 13 weeks, with the possibility of extensions.

Requirements

• Active nursing license
• Minimum of 2 years NICU experience required, with preference for candidates having Level III experience
• Experience working in a Level IV NICU is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates in the NICU
• Monitor and assess patient status, administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate families on care procedures and provide emotional support
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient records
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the unit
