Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care across various age groups, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Manage common patient diagnoses such as Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure.
• Utilize specialty equipment, including Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun, to assist in patient care.
• Provide care for patients in critical situations and perform SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) duties as needed.
• Administer required medications and drips, including pressors and anti-arrhythmics.
• Participate in floating between different units as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, with some pediatric experience preferred.
• Valid and active nursing license in New York, verified through a NURSYS report.
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC are required.
• Proven experience in travel nursing roles is required.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly EPIC.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and adapt to change.

Shift Details

This position involves working from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM. Please note that block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.

Unit Information

• Emergency Department consists of 64 beds, including 40 acute care, 6 super track, 2 trauma beds, and 6 psychiatric beds.
• Two triage beds for initial patient assessments.
