Psychiatric Adolescent Nursing - Registered Nurse

Job Title: PSYCH
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $59 - $63/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PSYCH for a temporary assignment in Lewiston, Maine. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a PSYCH:

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the unit
• Delegate interventions that may be performed by others and supervise as appropriate
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment for the rendering of effective nursing care
• Provide education to patients and families
• Collaborate with other health professionals in the planning and management of health care
• Maintain current Maine RN license
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Apply knowledge from an approved Nursing program graduate education
• Utilize experience working with children and adolescents
• Obtain or maintain Basic Dysrhythmia certification before completion of orientation
• Complete Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training before or during orientation
• Function as a responsible and supportive team player
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively in high-stress situations
• Reside outside of a 50-mile radius of the facility
