Part Time Youth Caregiver

We are looking for a compassionate and dependable individual to join our team in a part-time youth caregiving role. In this position, you will provide attentive support, supervision, and encouragement to children and/or adolescents in a safe, positive, and structured environment. The ideal candidate is patient, caring, and committed to helping young people thrive through consistent, respectful, and engaging care.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision and support for youth during scheduled shifts
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and age-appropriate activities
• Promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment
• Support emotional well-being by offering encouragement, patience, and active listening
• Help with meal preparation, cleanup, and other light caregiving tasks as needed
• Follow established care plans, safety procedures, and household or program guidelines
• Communicate clearly with families, supervisors, or team members regarding needs, concerns, and progress
• Respond appropriately to changing needs while maintaining professionalism and calm judgment

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or youth with intellectual disabilities is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable, responsible, and able to follow instructions consistently
• Ability to remain patient, attentive, and supportive in a caregiving setting
• Comfort working independently and as part of a team
• Ability to complete basic caregiving tasks and maintain a safe environment
• Must meet any applicable background check, reference, or certification requirements
