About the role
Why Peoples?
Peoples Health Services is the only family-owned, locally governed Hospice and Home Health provider in the Florida Panhandle. We believe that when we take care of the people who care for our patients, everyone benefits. We offer competitive pay, medical, dental, vision, group life, short-term disability benefits, a PTO program, 6 paid holidays, recognition programs, and work-life balance initiatives including a Relax & Recharge Day annually. Join a team that is dedicated to caring for our community—and each other.
Position Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced clinical services with primary responsibility for the Peoples Palliative Care program, including assessment, management, and follow-up of patients with serious or complex illness. The NP works collaboratively with patients, families, referring providers, and the interdisciplinary team to relieve symptoms, clarify goals of care, and support coordinated treatment plans. As needed, the NP also provides clinical backup to the Hospice program, including required hospice face-to-face encounters and other services within the NP’s licensure, privileges, and applicable law. The NP collaborates with the Hospice Medical Director and does not independently certify terminal illness for Medicare hospice eligibility.
