Nurse Practitioner

Dermatology Nurse Practitioner. Location: California.
Compensation: $150,000–$180,000 starting salary.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Benefits: Full benefits package plus additional bonuses.
Position Overview: An established dermatology practice is seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider interested in expanding their knowledge and skills in both general and cosmetic dermatology. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and an interest in helping patients manage a variety of skin conditions. Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage common dermatological conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin infections.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Perform dermatological procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, and suturing, as permitted by training and practice protocols.
• Participate in cosmetic dermatology services, which may include chemical peels, laser treatments, and injectable therapies.
• Educate patients on skincare, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Provide post-treatment instructions and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with supervising dermatologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document evaluations, treatments, and follow-up visits in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

• Current Nurse Practitioner license and applicable certification.
• Interest in general and cosmetic dermatology.
• Willingness to learn and participate in additional training.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
