Looking for Male Caregiver - Home Instead - Old Saybrook, CT

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Job description:

We're currently hiring caregivers for daytime, evening, overnight, and hospice/end-of-life care cases throughout the Old Saybrook, CT area.

Schedule

• Weekends 8:30am-4:30pm and Monday, Thursdays Fridays 8:30am-4:30pm.

• Paid one-day orientation

Pay & Benefits

• Starting pay: $18.00/hour

• 60-day performance review with opportunity to earn $18.50/hour

• Weekend shift differential: +$0.50–$1.50/hour

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene

• Assist with mobility and transfers

• Light housekeeping and meal preparation

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Transport clients locally when needed

• Observe and report changes in client condition

• Follow individualized care plans

• Participate in required training and orientation

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older

• High school diploma or equivalent

• HHA, PCA, or experienced caregivers welcome to apply

• Hospice or End-of-Life care experience is a plus

• Experience providing personal care preferred

• Reliable vehicle required

• Clean driving record required

• Registered and insured vehicle

• Candidates under 25 years old must have at least 3 years on an auto insurance policy

• Comfortable transporting clients when needed

• Able to work independently

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
