Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our long-term care unit. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care for geriatric patients in a skilled nursing facility environment.

Responsibilities

• Care for geriatric patients with various medical needs in a long-term care setting.
• Administer treatments including tracheostomy care, wound vacs, Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), central lines, IVs, and G-tubes.
• Utilize Passive Range of Motion (PROM) machines as required.
• Maintain patient safety and quality of care within the established patient ratio.
• Float within departments as needed when patient volume is low.

Schedule

• Full-time, Night shift: 3 shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Work every other weekend and holidays as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an LVN or LPN required.
• Experience in a nursing home or skilled nursing facility is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records is required.

Patient Care

The patient care environment involves managing a ratio of 1:27, focusing solely on geriatric patients.
