Position Overview

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with experience in a behavioral health unit. The role may also include working as a sitter on the medical-surgical unit. This position offers a combination of day and night shifts, generally consisting of 8-hour shifts over a 5-day workweek.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the care and support of patients within the behavioral health unit.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities.
• Monitor and document patients' conditions and report any changes to the nursing team.
• Engage in therapeutic communication with patients to support their mental health needs.
• May be required to work as a sitter on the medical-surgical unit as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health unit preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends if necessary.

Additional Information

Holiday coverage is not required for this position. Candidates should be prepared for varied shift assignments within the designated hours.
