Hall 2 is a standard long-termcare unit where patients have different levels of acuity going from high functioning to bedridden. Diagnosis includes diabetes, cardiac issues, dementia, behavior, etc. The unit also consists of sub-acute rehab patients with high complexity of needs. This unit is a fast paced and busy atmosphere where the patients needs include post operation, post stroke, post cardiac, ambulatory rehab and a lot of wound care and prevention. Will float to other like unitsHICU is a 40-bed unit which takes care of patients needing close monitoring and frequent interventions. Patients on the unit require ICU step down (intermediate care), telemetry and/or med/surg level of care. Our patients are stable but critically ill and can change in condition rapidly. Each room is semi-private, and some rooms are equipped with telemetry monitoring. Our unit consists of patients requiring acute rehabilitation, support for chronic conditions and ventilator support. We take care of a wide variety of complex medical patients with acute and chronic disorders including post cardiac arrest, pneumonia, sepsis, acute hypoxic respiratory failure, CVA acute rehabilitation and other respiratory, cardiac renal and GI/GU conditions. Patients on our unit have specialty equipment and devices including G-tubes, PICC lines, chest tubes, High flow Nasal Cannula, tracheostomies, mechanical ventilation.
