BrightStar Care is hiring an experienced, personable caregiver for an ongoing assignment with a male client who is looking for a buddy he can connect with—someone who enjoys conversation, sharing interests, and spending time together while providing dependable care.

He enjoys Motown music, sports, and getting out into the community several times daily, including barbershop appointments. Along with companionship, he needs assistance with bathing, toileting, hygiene, and other personal needs. He is very private about personal care and values discreet, respectful assistance.

Pay: $16–$17 per hour, paid weekly, plus mileage reimbursement for client transportation
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
Location: Henderson, NV 89014

Key Responsibilities:

• Build a comfortable connection through conversation, music, sports, and shared activities.
• Drive and accompany the client on multiple daily outings, including barbershop appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and toileting while protecting his privacy and dignity.
• Provide attentive dementia care, including calm reassurance during agitation and supervision and redirection for wandering.
• Assist with safe transfers and repositioning according to the care plan.
• Provide light housekeeping, meal preparation, and pet care.
• Report changes or concerns promptly to the office.

Qualifications:

• At least two years of caregiving experience, including dementia care.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, using appropriate equipment and assistance according to the care plan.
• Current driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle suitable for client transportation.
• Willing and able to participate in multiple daily outings.
• Comfortable working in a home with two dogs.
• Valid physical and a negative two-step TB test.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Consistent availability for all three days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
