Special Ed Educational Assistant - PCA - Cross Country Student Support

Scheduled Hours/Days: This is a part-time position offering up to 2.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with optional Saturday shifts available for additional hours.
 

Qualifications: Possess at least two years of college credits (60 credits) through an accredited institution, an associate's or higher degree, or a passing score on an approved assessment demonstrating the ability to assist with instruction in reading/language arts, writing, mathematics, and school readiness (the district can provide support for candidates needing to complete the assessment). Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of child development and behavioral management strategies, skills in building positive rapport with students and adapting instruction to individual needs, and the ability to remain calm while managing challenging behaviors. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a special education team and maintain confidentiality in accordance with district policies.
 

Pay Rate/Range: $22.30/hr. - $23.98/hr.
 

Compensation/Benefits/Perks: This position is not eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support for a student with special needs as indicated in their Individual Education Plan during the fall Cross Country season. ***Running is not a job requirement for this position***
