Make a Difference for One Person at a Time
There is a big difference between completing tasks and truly helping someone.
Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring compassionate CNAs and HHAs who want to help
seniors and adults live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
We serve clients throughout Ponte Vedra Beach, St Johns County, Jacksonville, and
surrounding areas.
Why One on One Home Care
In a facility, you may be responsible for several people at the same time.
Home care is different.
You work with one client at a time. You can learn their routine, understand what matters to
them, and build a real relationship.
For many caregivers, that is what made them want to work in healthcare in the first place.
The People We Serve
You may care for:
• Seniors who want to age safely at home
• Military veterans
• Disabled adults
• People recovering after an illness or surgery
• Clients who need personal care
• People who need companionship or supervision
Every case is different.
Some people need hands on help with bathing, dressing, or transfers. Others need meals,
reminders, companionship, light housekeeping, or help getting through the day safely.
Pay Schedule and Benefits
Typical pay is $17+ per hour for most cases. Higher rates may be available for select
assignments.
We offer:
• Part time and full time opportunities
• Day evening weekend and some overnight shifts
• Four hour minimum shifts
• Eight hour and twelve hour shifts when available
• W2 employment
• Payroll taxes handled by our agecy
• Same day pay access through TapCheck
• Direct deposit
• Referral bonuses
• Mileage reimbursement between same day client visits
• Local office support
A Family Owned Local Agency
Assisting Hands Home Care is owned by a local husband and wife team and our owners
are involved every day.
We believe caregivers provide better care when they feel respected, heard, and
appreciated. Our office works hard to communicate clearly and give caregivers the
information they need to do their jobs well.
What You Will Help With
Care may include:
• Bathing dressing grooming and toileting
• Walking and transfer assistance
• Meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping to keep the client's living area clean and safe
• Errands and appointments when included in the care plan
• Reporting concerns and changes to the office
Requirements
You must have:
• Active Florida CNA license or classroom HHA certificate
• Level Two Background Screening
• Recent TB screening
• Classroom CPR certification
• HIV AIDS training
• Alzheimers and Related Dementias training
• Assistance with Self Administration of Medication training
• Reliable transportation
• Paid caregiving experience with seniors or adults needing personal care
• Good communication skills
• A dependable and caring attitude
• Comfort with pets is preferred.
If you became a CNA or HHA because you wanted to help people, this is an opportunity to
