Registered Nurse (RN) - Peds ER

**ROLE – SPECIALTY** Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery **SCHEDULE** Days, rotating weekends **ASSIGNMENT DETAILS** Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week **REQUIREMENTS** - Current unencumbered state RN license - Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required - AHA ACLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications required - Preferred: Fetal Monitoring Certification and STABLE - 2 years of labor experience including labor management, delivery care, fetal monitoring, postpartum care of mother and newborn - Epic proficiency required - Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required due to CAP requirements for moderate complexity testing **ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES** - Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients during labor and delivery. - Monitor and assess fetal health and maternal wellbeing throughout the labor process. - Assist with delivery and immediate postpartum care for mother and newborn. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - Educate patients and families about the labor and delivery process, postpartum care, and newborn care. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and care. **COMPLIANCE / NOTES** - No excessive RTO will be approved. - This position requires the use of the employee's personal automobile and travel for work assignments at multiple points of care.
