Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

**Title** Emergency Department RN – Travel **Schedule** - Orientation: 24 hours - Daily census: ~120 visits/day - Ratios: 4–6 patients (Days/Nights/Weekends) **Assignment Details** - Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per contract **Requirements** - NY RN license required at time of submission - Minimum of 2 years in specialty required for submission - Preferred: 5 years current ED experience - Certifications: - BLS - PALS - NIHSS - Strongly preferred: ACLS, TNCC **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide comprehensive nursing care within the Emergency Department for various patient age groups, including pediatrics and adults. - Perform triage and critical care assessments to prioritize patient care based on acuity. - Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, including passing the facility's rhythm exam. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care. - Document patient information accurately using the EMR system. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. **Compliance / Notes** - EKG/rhythm testing: Completion of Relias EKG exam is required within 72 hours of signing; >80% overall rhythm ID required. - Flu vaccine is required by November 1; exemptions must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior for approval. - Recent Nursys verification required prior to start. - HealthStream/related modules must be completed by 7 a.m. on the Wednesday prior to start.
