Description

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.



Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining the knowledge and abilities essential to the performance of stated behaviors. Carries out legal responsibilities within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. Accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2 for overall work performance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) years of recent Registered Nurse clinical experience in an Ambulatory or Emergency Department setting

  • Minimum one (1) year of recent Registered Nurse clinical experience in an Ambulatory or Emergency Department Setting with pediatric patients

  • Minimum one (1) year experience with environmental allergy testing and immunotherapy, including skin testing and immunotherapy preparation and administration

  • Minimum of one (1) year of pediatric procedure experience in an Ambulatory or Emergency Department Setting

  • Minimum one (1) year experience with PRP procedures

  • Minimum one (1) year triage experience

  • This position requires flexibility to orient and work at Redwood Shores Specialty Care Clinic and Berkley Outpatient Center. Will additionally be expected to float to all UCSF sites as needed.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Cap Experience
  • Experience with Quality Improvement projects

 

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. 
  • Current healthcare provider CPR certification
