Registered Nurse - OR (MB, FT, 8 hr, eve shift)

Description

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team. Call required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

• 2-3 years recent Adult Operating Room (OR) RN clinical experience

• Proficiency in open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery

• Proficiency in scrubbing surgical procedures

• Proficiency in circulating duties; call required 

• Experience in General Surgery, Ortho, Neuro, OHNS, GU, GYN, Breast/Plastics, Endoscopy

• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations

• Excellent verbal and written skills.  Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently and under pressure.

• Basic computer skills and general PC knowledge.  

   

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

• Specialty Certification – CNOR

• BSN

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. 

• Current healthcare provider CPR certification
