Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate group and individual support services tailored to the needs of adults with dual diagnoses

- Develop and implement therapeutic programming that fosters recovery, social skills, emotional regulation, and independence

- Utilize a holistic, strengths-based approach aligned with person-centered thinking and recovery principles

- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure services reflect individual preferences and goals

- Promote autonomy and respect for clients’ choices while supporting their progress toward functional living

- Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with organizational policies

- Engage with clients, families, and community resources to support ongoing recovery and social integration

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field such as special education, social work, recreational therapy, psychology, or counseling, or actively pursuing such a degree.
  • Prior experience working with individuals diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability is preferred.
  • Experience with group therapy formats is advantageous.
  • Valid Tennessee driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional after-hours work and travel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting individuals with diverse needs.
