The Planning Manager, ECNA Planning at Tory Burch is a strategic business partner who leads merchandise planning and inventory management for the North America Ecommerce Handbags and Jewelry business. You will own end-to-end financial planning across multiple categories, drive forecasting excellence, and deliver insights that shape cross-functional decisions. With an elevated scope and deep analytical rigor, you will help ensure that key inventory and assortment strategies are optimized to drive profitability, improve customer experience, and support brand growth. This role requires strong leadership, proven planning experience, and a collaborative, forward-thinking mindset.

A Day in the Life:

This individual will be a champion for the Handbag and Jewelry  E-Commerce business, ensuring their categories business needs are covered, understanding the deepest level of E-Commerce planning while being able to have a strategic top’s down view of opportunities at the category level. The planning manager will partner closely with Buying and Merchandising throughout all of the steps of the product lifecycle ensuring inventory is optimized and website is set up to reach their sales and productivity targets.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Merchandise Financial Planning and Inventory Management 

·       Assortment Planning  

·       Business Management / Reporting and Analysis 

 

 

Assortment Planning 

• Pre-Season:   
  • Create annualized financial plans for select category/categories (including sales, gross margin, receipt and inventory targets) that ladders up to merchandise financial plan 
  • Manage Buy Tools and the completion of the buys in collaboration with buying team 
  • Ensure Key Item plans are factored into the assortment 
  • Work with the buying team to ensure final assortment supports sales based on hindsights and that the inventory buys are appropriate to deliver sales and sell thru targets, including during key event periods 

·       In-Season: 

• Review and Manage Key Item planners weekly.  Communicate demand requirements to corporate merch planning and production based on buy calendar 
• Report out on Key Item performance/trends in weekly business meetings 
• Collaborate with buying to understand stock needs in fashion best sellers and key marketing messages 

 

Business Management / Reporting and Analysis 

• Prepare for key promotional and seasonal periods by ensuring sufficient stock levels overall and in expected best sellers. Analyze event performance to Forecast/LY and communicate results 
• Review pricing and MD analysis in conjunction with Buying.  Support price change and decisions on promotional strategies 
• Analyze sales and inventory reports and develop strategies to achieve Plan 
• Complete specific analysis to support buy process i.e. -  Size level analysis 

To Land This Role:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 7 years of experience in merchandise planning, financial planning, or business analysis (retail or ecommerce preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; strong knowledge of planning systems and BI tools
• Demonstrated ability to lead planning processes across categories and influence cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and presentation skills; comfort interacting with senior leadership
• Highly analytical, results-oriented, and organized
• Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is 105,000.00 USD - 135,000.00 USD. Our offer will be based on your relevant experience and work location.
