McNair Program Coordinator

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in areas of increased responsibility in higher education student advising, engagement, teaching, or related areas Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and collaborate with students, staff, faculty, and external stakeholders Ability and desire to foster a supportive and motivating environment that empowers students to reach their goals

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in education, psychology, counseling, or related field Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision Experience in student recruitment, academic advising, or program coordination Strong desire for continuous learning and the ability to proactively seek out new knowledge and insights Experience working with first generation college students, especially regarding the opportunities and barriers they navigate in higher education Knowledge of graduate school admissions processes and financial literacy Familiarity with federal regulations related to grant-funded programs
