Long Term CNA Substitute Teacher

Long Term CNA Substitute Teacher needed at Joseph A. Foran and Jonathan Law High School to cover a leave of absence from November 9th until approximately January 4, 2027.

Health Occupations Certification (103) recommended.

Pay is $145 per day for the first 30 consecutive days, then $283.92 from Day 31 until the end of the assignment.

There are no benefits associated with this position.

Applicants should be able to show knowledge to teach:

• Introduction to Allied Health Professions (CSCU - Housatonic)
• Medical Terminology
• Certified Nursing Assistant Program

Performance responsibilities include:

• Maintaining student records including attendance and grades.
• Establish clear learning intentions and success criteria for learning
• Utilize formative assessment to monitor and adjust instruction
• Design and implement lessons that provide opportunities for problem-solving, creativity, and communication skills in relation to authentic real-world business situations
• Monitor and evaluate students' progress in relation to curriculum expectations
• Establishes and maintains relationships with students, parents, fellow teachers, school counselors, non teaching personnel, and administrators.
• Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs as required.
• Stays current with education and pedagogy and seeks opportunities to share professional learning with colleagues.  
• Maintain contact with area medical facility for the purpose of CNA clinicals.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
