Key Responsibilities:

- Assist surgeons and medical staff during patient examinations and procedures

- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready

- Take and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and current medications

- Provide patient education and instructions regarding pre- and post-operative care

- Manage patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and documentation

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas in compliance with health and safety standards

- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and insurance documentation as needed


Skills and Qualifications:

- Valid LPN license or Medical Assistant certification

- Prior experience in a surgical or outpatient clinical setting preferred

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient privacy regulations

- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems

- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a surgical, specialty, or procedural practice
  • Ability to independently assess patient concerns and determine appropriate next steps
  • Excellent telephone triage and patient communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and judgment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and office practices
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
