Heartline Staffing is recruiting Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a 26-week correctional healthcare contract in Somerset, Pennsylvania. Four openings are available.

 

TRAVEL CONTRACT AT A GLANCE

Gross Weekly Pay: $1,700

Taxable Rate: $15.00/hour

Weekly Travel Stipend: $1,100

Overtime Rate: $40.00/hour

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Contract Length: 26 weeks

Schedule: Float Position | 8-Hour Shifts

Shift Flexibility: May work up to two different shifts within a two-week period

Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend off

Holiday Requirement: Must expect to work major holidays

Location: Somerset, PA

Setting: Correctional Healthcare

Openings: 4

The $1,100 weekly travel stipend is tax-free for eligible travelers who meet applicable tax-home and IRS requirements.

 

THE ASSIGNMENT

Provide licensed practical nursing care within a secure correctional healthcare environment in Somerset, Pennsylvania.

This is a float position utilizing 8-hour shifts. LPNs may work up to two different shifts within a two-week period. The schedule provides every other weekend off, and clinicians must expect to work major holidays.

The assignment is 26 weeks with 40 guaranteed hours per week. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, strong assessment and communication skills, and the ability to provide professional nursing care within a secure correctional environment.

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license REQUIRED
• Current CPR/BLS certification REQUIRED
• Strong assessment and communication skills REQUIRED
• Ability to adapt to changing shift schedules and responsibilities REQUIRED
• Ability to pass required criminal background check and health screenings REQUIRED
• Ability to work a float position utilizing 8-hour shifts REQUIRED
• Ability to work up to two different shifts within a two-week period REQUIRED
• Availability to work major holidays REQUIRED

 

Preferred

• Correctional or behavioral health experience
• Psychiatric or mental health care experience
• Flexibility to cover multiple shift types within the facility
• Knowledge of Medicaid and insurance procedures

Salary Description $1,700 Weekly | $1,100 Stipend | $15/hr
